Independent Tutor W9 Compliancet

At Logos Learning, it is mandatory for all independent tutors to complete a W9 form for tax purposes once their earnings surpass $600. This requirement ensures compliance with tax regulations and facilitates accurate reporting of income. To streamline this process, we have partnered with a third-party service specialized in W9 processing. Upon reaching the earnings threshold, tutors will promptly receive an email notification from the third-party provider, guiding them through the necessary steps to fill out the W9 form. Failure to provide the W9 within the specified timeframe will result in all subsequent payments being temporarily withheld until the required documentation is successfully completed. This policy ensures transparency and adherence to regulatory standards while safeguarding the financial integrity of both Logos Learning and its independent tutors.

Calculation of Tutor Payment Amounts Policy

The following policy outlines the procedures for calculating tutor payment amounts in the United States:

  1. Hourly Rate: Tutors are responsible for setting their own hourly rate, which can be changed at any time. Tutors should notify the existing student about the rate change through the Logos Learning communication platform.
  2. Platform Fee: All tutors agree to pay a platform fee of 17% on their submitted hourly rate. This means that 83% of the submitted hourly rate will be distributed to the tutor. Please be aware that Logos Learning retains the right to modify the platform fee at any given time to ensure sustainable growth and continued excellence in our educational services .
  3. Payment Schedule: Tutors can expect to receive payment for their services on a weekly basis, with funds transferred via direct deposit to their designated bank account. To maintain the efficiency of our payment system, we kindly request tutors to adhere to the scheduled pay dates. However, if a tutor necessitates an early payout before the allocated pay date, a convenience fee of 3% will be applicable to cover processing costs. To initiate an early payout request, tutors are kindly asked to submit their formal requests via email to [email protected] .
  4. Electronic Signature: When you click on buttons like "I Accept," "I Acknowledge," "Submit," "Register," or similar options on Logos Learning's website, you are showing your intention to sign the relevant document or record. This action shall constitute your signature.
  5. Dispute Resolution: In the event of any dispute regarding the calculation of tutor payment amounts, the matter will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

By agreeing to work as a tutor on our platform, you accept the terms outlined in this policy statement. We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time, with or without notice to tutors
